About Pickled Poet: Crafting Culinary Poetry

Our Story:

Pickled Poet was born from a genuine love of food, wine and the kind of places that make a neighbourhood feel alive. When Jordan and Steph took over the venue, they brought a simple vision with them, a space where people could discover beautiful things and eat food made with care.

What started as a wine bar has grown organically into something harder to label, part deli, part retail shop, part live music venue, part events space. Every addition has happened the same way, because it felt right, and because our Thirroul community wanted it.

We're family owned, and proudly so. Jordan runs the kitchen, Steph keeps everything else moving, and our small, tight-knit team is genuinely invested in the experience they create for every guest who walks through the door.

What We Offer

Food Made From Scratch
Handmade pastas, European-inspired share plates and grazing boards with premium Australian charcuterie and artisan cheeses. Our menu changes with the seasons, and Wednesday pasta night has become a local institution.

Wine From the People Who Make It
Sourced exclusively from small-batch Australian producers, tasted personally and chosen because they surprise and delight. A quarter of our list is natural wine, most of it by the glass, because wine is meant to be explored.

Pickled Poet Originals
Our house-made pantry range- chilli jam, fig and quince jam, sesame soy dressing, infused oils and relishes- started with the things our customers kept asking to take home. Available in-venue and online, shipping Australia-wide.

Live Music
Every Friday and Saturday from 6pm, we hand the venue over to local artists, paid fairly, supporting the musicians who make the South Coast so vibrant.

Private Events
Birthdays, weddings, corporate dinners, baby showers, we've hosted them all. Our courtyard holds up to 100 guests, tailored to whoever's celebrating.
